What can I paste or upload?
Spotify song and album links, YouTube videos (including Shorts and YouTube Music), and audio files up to 50 MB: MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC and more. Up to 50 songs at once, each up to 30 minutes. Spotify playlists and artist pages aren’t supported, since Spotify only shares a playlist’s songs with its owner. To use a video file, export its audio first.
How accurate is it?
Clear vocals in a well-mixed recording come out best. LyricAI separates the voice from the music, uses a recognizer chosen for the song’s language, and uses the published lyrics when they exist. Heavy effects, buried or overlapping vocals and very fast passages are still hard, so check names and fast lines against the song. If a song mixes languages, you can set its language under More options once you’re signed in.
Why not use the lyrics on Spotify or a lyrics site?
Use them when they have your song. LyricAI is for the songs they don’t: live takes, covers, TV and anime versions, indie uploads and your own recordings. It also translates line by line, shows pronunciation, and exports timed files.
How does the translation work?
Each line is translated with the whole song in mind, for its meaning and imagery, and set right under the original. It’s written to be understood, so it won’t rhyme or fit the melody. You can translate into 36 languages.
Can I see how the words are pronounced?
Yes. Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Thai sheets can show every line in Latin letters: romaji, pinyin, Revised Romanization or Thai romanization. Turn on pronunciation on the sheet. It’s free.
What does a song cost?
1 credit is 1 minute of audio, rounded up per song, so a 4-minute song is 4 credits: $0.32 with the 25-credit pack, $0.20 with the 200-credit pack. Translation is included. You see the price before you start, and your first song is free, up to 10 minutes. A Spotify song whose lyrics are already published is free, or 1 credit to translate, whatever its length. YouTube links and uploads are always written down from the recording, since they may be a different take.
What if a song fails?
The credits come back on their own, and a free song is given back. If the recording turns out a minute or more shorter than you paid for, the difference goes back to your balance. An upload or video that turns out longer uses the extra minutes from your balance; if your balance can’t cover them, the song isn’t made and you aren’t charged. If a finished sheet looks badly wrong, write to support@lyricai.io.
What happens to my audio and lyrics?
Audio from links isn’t kept by LyricAI. Uploaded files are deleted once transcribed (files added but never sent, within 2 days). Our GPU provider may keep an encrypted copy of the audio for up to 7 days. Lyric sheets are deleted after 24 hours, so download what you want to keep. Your list of past songs is kept for 90 days. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Can I publish the lyrics?
LyricAI is for personal listening, study, and accessibility. Lyrics belong to their writers and publishers, so publishing them or using them as public subtitles needs the rights holders’ permission. Upload only recordings you own or may use. LyricAI isn’t affiliated with Spotify or YouTube. See the Terms.
Do credits expire?
Never. Unused credits can be refunded within 30 days of purchase: email support@lyricai.io.
