LyricAI (https://www.lyricai.io/) turns a Spotify song or album link, a YouTube video, or an audio file into written lyrics: timed word by word, translated line by line, and downloadable as LRC, Enhanced LRC, SRT, TXT, Markdown or JSON. LyricAI listens to the recording itself, so it works on songs no lyrics site has: live takes, covers, TV and anime versions, demos and people's own recordings. With Lyric timing off, a Spotify song is first looked up in public lyrics databases (LRCLIB, then lyrics.ovh); if its lyrics are there, the sheet is free. ## Key facts - Input: Spotify song and album links (not playlists), YouTube videos, Shorts and YouTube Music links, and audio files up to 50 MB (MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AIFF, or WMA). Up to 50 songs a request, each up to 30 minutes. - How it works: the voice is separated from the instruments, the sung language is detected (36 languages), and a speech recognition model chosen for the language writes the words down. English, Japanese and Mandarin go to a model tuned for sung lyrics. Spotify song and album links, YouTube videos (Shorts and YouTube Music too), and audio files up to 50 MB (MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC and more). Up to 50 songs at once, each up to 30 minutes. Not Spotify playlists or artist pages: Spotify shares a playlist’s songs only with its owner. For a video file, export the audio first. ### How accurate is it? Clear vocals in a well-mixed recording come out best. Heavy effects, buried or overlapping vocals and very fast passages are still hard, so check names and fast lines against the song. If the language is detected wrong, set it in Original language, beside the song. ### Why not use the lyrics on Spotify or a lyrics site? Use them when they have your song. LyricAI is for the songs they don’t have: live takes, covers, TV and anime versions, indie uploads and your own recordings. ### How does the translation work? Each line is translated with the whole song in mind and set under the original, into any of 37 languages. The translation follows the meaning, so it doesn’t rhyme or fit the melody. ### Can I read the lyrics in romanization? Yes, on Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Thai sheets: turn on Romanization for romaji, pinyin, Revised Romanization or Thai romanization under each line. It’s free, and once made it stays with the sheet. ### Can every word be timed? Yes. Lyric timing is on unless you turn it off: every word and every line is timed, for karaoke apps (Enhanced LRC), music players (LRC), video (SRT) and JSON. Each song is transcribed, so it’s charged by the minute even when its lyrics are published. On the results page, Lyric timing shows the sheet By word, By line or with No timing, and downloads follow it. ### What does a song cost? 1 credit is 1 minute of audio, rounded up per song: $0.050-0.080 a minute, depending on the bundle. Translating a song is 1 credit more, whatever its length. You see the price before you start. Your first song is free, up to 10 minutes, translation included. With Lyric timing off, LyricAI first looks a Spotify song up in public lyrics databases. If its lyrics are there, the sheet is free, or 1 credit translated. ### What if a song fails? Its credits, or the free song, come back on their own. A recording a minute or more shorter than charged gets the difference back. An upload or video that runs longer uses the extra minutes from your balance; if the balance can’t cover them, the song isn’t made and isn’t charged. If a finished sheet looks badly wrong, write to support@lyricai.io. ### What happens to my audio and lyrics? Audio from links is deleted after processing. Uploaded files are deleted once transcribed (files added but never sent, within 2 days). Our processing provider keeps an encrypted copy of the audio for up to 7 days, then deletes it. Lyric sheets are deleted from our servers after 24 hours; your browser keeps a copy unless you turn that off under This device on your Account page. Your list of past songs is kept for 90 days, or until you delete a song from its page. The Privacy Policy has the details. ### Can I publish the lyrics? LyricAI is for personal listening, study and accessibility. Publishing lyrics, or showing them as public subtitles, needs the rights holders’ permission. Upload only recordings you own or may use. LyricAI isn’t affiliated with Spotify or YouTube. See the Terms. ### Do credits expire? Never. Bought credits aren’t refundable, except where the law requires; a song that fails gives its credits back on its own. ### Can credits top up automatically? Yes. Turn on Auto top-up on your Account page, pick a bundle and a balance, and save a card with Stripe. When a request leaves your balance below that amount, the bundle is bought for you. A request that needs more buys up to 3 bundles at once, at most 3 times a day. A declined card turns it off. ### Can I get free credits? Yes. Signed in, open the gift in the header once a day to collect 1 credit; a dot on it means today’s is waiting. Every 7th day in a row gives 3 instead. Miss a day and the streak starts over.
